The corporation
of Lolo Peak Winery (LPW) was formed in 1997. A small warehouse location
was found, leased, upgraded and licenses obtained. The Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) issued Montana’s second winery permit
(#BWMT0002) to LPW in August of 1998. At that time commercial production
of wine began.
In 2000 the lot was purchased for our current building, with construction starting in the spring of 2002. Judy and Mark were very involved in every step along the way. They, with friends and family, did most of the sheet rock and finishing processes. The new location opened for business on December 2nd, 2002.
